This is a course that will require the
student to do field research.
This research will involve interviewing three of the
following: Missionary,
Mission
’s Pastor or a Mission Field Director for a Mission Agency.
The people that are interviewed should be currently
serving in some capacity in missions.
The missionaries may be on the mission field or on
furlough. The
field research will be compiled and written up as a research
paper. Outside
reading required.
OR
Plan a short term mission’s trip going
as a field apprentice. The
student should seek a situation that is similar to the
student’s future goals and that will allow the opportunity
for work experience and field training from someone willing to
be his/her field supervisor.
The student will be responsible for collecting
prescribed information for a report while visiting this
cross-cultural situation.
The field supervisor’s evaluation combined with the
required written report will determine the student’s grade.
The student is responsible for choosing, preparing, and
financing the trip to this cross-cultural opportunity with a
minimum of at least a one month visit. Course

First, this course will require the student to
study all the areas that are necessary in the preparation for
going to the mission field for a short term mission ministry.
