(Consider printing this page for a brief orientation to Windsor College structure.)

Enrollment Procedures:

  1. First, go to Admissions to fill out an Application, then pay the Registration Fee, setup your Registrar Student File, and Setup Tuition from the second screen. A total of $150 is required for beginning fees.

  2. Enter any previous credit information and life experience in the Registrar Student File (that you created above) as you have time. This will expedite enrollment processing. Previous college transcripts are not required at this time, and can be sent later. A link to re-access your Registrar Student File is sent via email within one-two days of receiving your application and registration fee.

  3. Complete the Free Course (Introduction to College) which helps the student understand procedures, offers tips for success, and includes projects for self-analysis in multiple areas to improve interpersonal relations. Students may earn three credits for successful completion of this course (requires enrollment).

  4. Normally, within a week of submitting your application, you will receive instructions and materials in the mail for a second course called "Understanding the Bible".  Windsor College uses this course at the beginning of all programs to overview the entire Bible from which other courses continue to build.  Both the "Introduction to College" and "Understanding the Bible" courses can be worked on during enrollment processing.

  5. Once the enrollment processing is complete, the registrar will send your initial course list to graduate to you, plus your Virtual Campus Login to begin other courses. The Virtual Campus gives the student access to courses, testing, and grade records.

  6. Work on remaining courses two-three at a time from the top of your course list to graduate. Send transfer credit transcripts if needed, plus pay the Transfer Credit Fee (maximum of $100) within ninety days of billing if desiring transfer credits or life experience credits.

  7. Complete graduation requirements and graduate!

Student Life:

  • Students are able to begin work immediately in the "Introduction to College" course (three credits) available under the Free Course button.   This work can begin without financial cost or enrollment processing.

  • After completing application requirements, students are sent a complimentary resource book and instructions for their second course "Understanding the Bible" (three credits).  This second course can be worked on while waiting for enrollment processing and credit evaluation.  This course is required for all students to ensure a complete overview of the Bible has been covered before beginning normal coursework.

  • Students with ministry experience may qualify for up to twelve credits.  Along with the first two courses students complete when they begin their relationship with Windsor College, some students will have a total of eighteen credits very quickly.  Eighteen credits is one-seventh of the way to the bachelor degree.

  • Once enrollment has been processed, students are sent a login for the Windsor College Virtual Campus.  When first-time students login to the Virtual Campus Website, they should go to the Campus Curriculum section and open the first two to five courses listed on the top of their "Course List to Graduate" to acquire the necessary resources for those courses. A direct link to Amazon.com and other options is provided for new, used, and rental books.  Fulltime students should budget approximately $200 per year for resource materials.

  • Students normally print the Study Guide for the course they are beginning (often placing the Study Guide in the resource book), then follow the instructions, returning to the Virtual Campus for occasional online drills, tests, and submitting papers.

  • Students may check for test and paper scores in the Student Records section of the Virtual Campus.

  • Students should set personal goals and share them with a local accountability partner and their assigned counselor.

  • Several majors require a practicum in the last year of study, which involves completing tasks and responsibilities at a local ministry.   This will usually involve one hundred hours of involvement for these six credits.

  • Students will have some minor additional requirements to fulfill at the time of graduation, such as paying the $75 graduation fee, ordering announcements, writing a brief college experience paper, ordering a cap and gown, deciding on a local ceremony or attending a regional graduation, submitting a photo if using a local ceremony, and submitting an evaluation form for college accreditation purposes.

Computer Requirements:

  • You will need the availability of a computer with internet access on a regular basis. The computer should have a sound card and speakers/headphone for courses that require multimedia.  Over 90% of student work can be done away from the computer.  Some courses require broadband internet (not dial-up) for videos.  Computers with broadband are often available at local libraries or internet cafes.

  • You should have a dependable printer with paper and and extra ink cartridges on hand.  Many students will use an older HP printer that uses $5 black cartridges (HP45 or HP15) to reduce the ink cost substantially.  These printers can often be purchased at second hand stores for $10 or less.

Financial Requirements:

  • $100 annual registration fee
  • $50 per month tuition (or $300 every six months) The Biblical Counseling major is $95 per month.
  • Approximately $200 per year for resource materials (This varies due to full-time or part-time work and whether the student uses new or borrowed, rented, or used resources.)
  • $5 per transfer or life experience credit up to a maximum of $100 (paid during the first year)
  • $75 graduation fee (at associate or bachelor level when nearing graduation)
  • paper, ink, and internet requirements
